The firm

What we do

Stiemfield is a management consultancy that strengthens the core of an organisation (its strategy, execution and management) so that technology and innovation pay off. We start where it matters most to growing organisations: winning the funding that moves them forward. Stiemfield Bid Strategy turns grant, tender and investor proposals into bids built to win.

Diagnosing why transformation fails. Architecting the convergence that closes the gap.

What we do first

Win the bid

Grant applications, tender responses and investor proposals, scored against the funder's own criteria and strengthened where the points are won and lost.

Who we serve

Organisations that bid

SMEs, startups, NGOs and social enterprises chasing funding connected to Africa, wherever they are based.

How we work

Remote and fixed-fee

Everything by WhatsApp, video call and email. The fee is agreed in writing before work starts.

The problem

Most bids do not lose on writing. They lose on fit, logic and evidence.

Organisations apply for calls they cannot win, answer questions the funder did not ask, and promise results their teams cannot show they will deliver. Better wording does not fix these. A clear-eyed score does.

Our answer

Score the bid the way the funder will. Then build the win story.

Every bid runs through the STIEM lens: a sharp strategy, a credible plan to execute it, and proof the team can manage it. Writing and polish come last, not first.

Stiemfield Bid Strategy

Two services. One method. Built to win.

Whether your draft is written or you are starting from the call itself, every bid goes through the same four steps, and every client receives a Bid Scorecard showing where the bid stood before our work and where it stands after.

Proposal Review

You have a draft. We score it against the funder's criteria and show you exactly how to strengthen it.

₦75,000–₦150,000US$350–$700By length of the draft · paid in full upfront
  • Your draft scored criterion by criterion, as the funder's panel will score it
  • Tracked edits throughout the draft
  • A written improvement memo, ranked by the points each fix wins
  • Your Bid Scorecard, before and after, with an optional 30-minute call

Ideal for organisations with a draft and a deadline at least a week away.

Full drafting · Ready at least 3 days before the deadline

Proposal Development

You have the call and the ambition. We build the bid with you, from concept note to submission-ready package.

₦250,000–₦600,000US$1,200–$3,500By scope · 60% upfront, 40% on the final draft
  • A go/no-go assessment before any writing starts
  • Concept note, then the full narrative
  • Results framework or logframe, and the budget narrative
  • One structured review round with you, then the submission-ready package and your Bid Scorecard

Ideal for grants, tenders and investor proposals with at least 7 days to the deadline.

Fees are fixed in writing before work starts: in naira for clients in Nigeria and the region, and in US dollars for international clients. Our first five international clients receive a 30% founding-client discount, in exchange for a testimonial and consent to an anonymous case study. Calls with fewer than 7 days to the deadline are taken only at a premium rate, and only when we can do them well. We do not charge success fees unless the funder's rules allow them.

The four-step method

  • Go or no-go. Before any writing, we test whether you fit the funder and can realistically win. If you should not bid, we will tell you, and say why.
  • Score the bid. We break the funder's evaluation criteria down and score you against each one, so you see where points are won and lost.
  • Build the win story. We sharpen the strategy, show how you will execute it, and prove your team can manage it. Funders reward clear logic far more than fine wording.
  • Polish to submit. Writing, the budget narrative and the compliance check come last, not first.

Should you bid at all?

Five questions from the first step of our method. Tick each one that is true for the call you are looking at.

How it works

Fully remote. Clear from the first message.

You never have to leave your work to work with us. Everything happens by WhatsApp, video call and email.

A Proposal Review, step by step

  1. Request — send the short form below, or a WhatsApp message, with the funder and the call.
  2. Quote — within 24 hours you receive a fixed quote, set by the length of the draft.
  3. Score — we score your draft against the funder's evaluation criteria.
  4. Return — within 3–5 working days: tracked edits, a ranked improvement memo and your Bid Scorecard.
  5. Call — an optional 30-minute call to walk through the changes.

Our commitments to you

  1. Confidential — your draft, figures and ideas are used only for your bid, never shared.
  2. Fixed fees — the price is agreed in writing before work starts; no surprises.
  3. Honest advice — if a call is not right for you, we will say so before you spend a naira.
  4. Your bid stays yours — you own every word we write for you.
  5. Proof only with permission — case studies are published anonymously, and only with your consent.

For larger organisations: diagnostic and transformation engagements, by enquiry.

Our difference

Four principles we do not trade.

I

Evidence, never opinion.

Every finding is backed by your numbers and your own words.

II

Core first, then amplify.

We fix the logic of the bid, and of the organisation behind it, before the words.

III

Fixes, not reports.

Every recommendation comes with what to do, how, and by when.

IV

Global standard, African roots.

World-class rigour, built for how organisations in Africa really run and win funding.

What we will not do

Our story

A career that began in the field.

Asar Paul T, Founder and Lead Consultant of Stiemfield Global Convergence

Asar Paul T

Founder & Lead Consultant

Stiemfield Global Convergence was founded by Asar Paul T, a business management graduate whose career began not in a boardroom, but in the field. During his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) year in Osun State, he served as State Project Manager for Digital Literacy for All (DL4ALL), an NYSC Community Development Service group, and as Head of Projects and Hackathon at state level, after leading the group's projects in Ede North LGA. He coordinated digital skills projects with local leaders, schools and grassroots organisations, and led a state-level hackathon.

That work showed him a pattern he now sees in businesses everywhere: the barrier is rarely effort or tools. It is a weak core, where strategy, execution and management are not working together. He is completing an MSc in Business Administration, and founded Stiemfield to strengthen that core for the organisations that carry economies, starting with the funding that lets them grow.

Our mission

To build the core that makes technology and innovation pay, for growing organisations in Nigeria, across Africa and beyond.

Insight

From the Founder

Why most transformations fail

And it's not what you think

Every year, organisations spend billions on transformation. New systems. New strategies. New innovation programmes. And every year, most of them fail. The consulting industry has a standard explanation: bad technology, poor strategy, or resistance to change. I disagree.
